Christmas Chic

It is the busiest month of the year in the salon and I am getting ready to go to Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam for my 25th Wedding Anniversary!!

Me pre Paris

I am so excited!  I grew up in London and believe it or not went to Paris for the first time for a school trip when I was ten years old.  I am so glad my mum and dad said I could go.  I felt so grown up going off to Paris with our headmistress,  Mrs Gibbs, my favorite teacher, Mr Stretton and my school friends.  It was a magical time, seeing the Eiffel Tower, the Champs Elysee and Nortre Dame for the first time.

I like to think that growing up in London and visiting Paris influenced me in my love for the beauty industry and the world of fashion.  London always on the cutting edge and the French always so chic.

Speaking of chic I have added a link below for you of 20 holiday styles to view for inspiration!

Top 20 Holiday Hairstyles - Daily Makeover

Also here is a helpful hint, for a quick day to evening pick-me-up, mist your hair with a spray shine product.  I recommend, Unite D Frizz Argan Oil, we have it at the Right Angle Salon where you will find me counting the days to Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam.

Au revoir pour maintenant and until we meet again have a Wonderful Holiday Season and a Happy New Year!

See you in 2013 - when the deep side part will be the height of hair fashion.......

I am committed to see it through to the end! The contest is FabOver40, it is both a beauty contest and a fundraiser for breast cancer. Here is the link to the contest:  FabOver40 My profile page on the site gives you information as to why I would like to win and here I am sharing more details. I would like to be the biggest fundraiser for The National Breast Cancer Foundation.  I'd like to win for my younger self and every, girl and woman that has suffered a loss due to cancer, an accident or an autoimmune disease. I wrote the story below in an Autobiography writing class last fall a...

Endings and Beginnings

HairQueen News: I celebrated a big milestone, forty years of being a hairstylist and 25 years as a business owner. I was planning to completely retire but then I decided to keep the “tip of my scissors” in for a while longer. This decision means I am free to step into a new phase of life as I gradually let go of my wonderful salon career. We had a party — it was fantastic! I loved every minute. My heart overflowed as my clients, colleagues, and family helped me mark this major career milestone.                                                                                                                                              ...
